An enthusiastic researcher & Computer Science Course Director (Cybersecurity, Computer Science, & AI) at Staffordshire University London (SUL) Digital Institute. Before this, a lecturer and later a senior lecturer in Cybersecurity & Networks at Staffordshire University, Stoke-on-Trent. A freelance research and educational consultant.

Experience

Experience in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, & AI. His research/teaching interests lie in the field of Internet Protocols & Architectures, Cyber/Network Security, and Internet of Things (IoT) Security. He has been involved with several national/international research projects including SASH-NET (Airbus Group), CURLING, and Erasmus Project (ELEGANT). Research collaborations, funded research projects and published conference/journal papers that reflect his findings can be found in high-profile publications such as IEEE, Elsevier, & ZTE.

First joining Staffordshire University as a member of Corporate Programme Unit (CPU); working extensively generating income and developing and delivering bespoke and professional training to employers such as Ministry of Defence (MoD)/Royal Air Force (RAF) personnel, NHS, Vodafone, BT, etc. in the field of ICT & Cybersecurity. Later, in the school of Computing and Digital Technologies (CDT), teaching a variety of level 4/5/6/7 modules for different CDT awards including apprenticeship, work-based learning programmes, & MoD courses.

Since 2020, mainly involved with Staffordshire University London (SUL) Digital Institute for leading different BSc & MSc Computing Courses. Broad experience in delivery of education through face-to-face/distance/blended learning methods. In addition, he is supervising/examining undergraduate/postgraduate/PhD research projects & theses.

Previously

Prior experience includes PhD studentship grant from (formerly:) Centre for Communication Systems Research (CCSR), (now:) Institute for Communication Systems 5G/6G Innovation Centre, University of Surrey, UK. In parallel, he worked as a Research Assistant (RA) in CCSR as one of the leading research institutes across the world and a Teaching Assistant (TA) in both: Surrey’s Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering as well as Computing Department. He also completed 2 years as a lead researcher on SASH-NET industrial project with Airbus Group (Astrium Space Transportation & Satellite; European Aerospace and Defence group (EADS)).
